Cuba without pricey rates

Travel to Cuba is the hot thing these days, but most trips can be pricey. Sunny Land Tours has a cheaper option with a quickie four-day package. It’s priced from $1,299 per person double occupancy, which includes three nights’ lodging in Havana, some meals, a city tour of Old Havana, other escorted guided tours, a cabaret show at Hotel Nacional and more. To find the $1,299 rate, you’ll probably need to book during the hotter summer months. When we checked, rates during the winter were more in the $1,499-$1,599 range, which still isn’t bad. The price, though, doesn’t include airfare, and the charter flight (most fly from Miami) probably will add another $500 to $700 to the cost. Still, it’s a relatively cheap way to see this exotic destination before burgeoning U.S. tourism changes it. Info: 800-783-7839, http://tinyurl.com/q3eax5v
