In addition to Victoria Falls, Africa’s Zambezi River is known for its challenging whitewater. An agreement by the governments of Zambia and Zimbabwe to build two dams downriver from the falls would flood the Batoka Gorge below the falls, wiping out that whitewater. Adventure tour company ROAM has put together a new trip that will give whitewater rafters the opportunity to tackle the river before it’s too late. It begins with two days at Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge for game drives and river and walking safaris. Journeys International has two new trips for 2014 aimed at families looking for adventure. The Belize Jungle Discovery Week for Families features guided exploration of abandoned Mayan ruins, paddling an underground river and viewing birds and other wildlife of the rain forest. Baseball Hall of Fame
