Pretty cool, right.

That was SpaceX Falcon9 rocket blasting off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station carrying supplies, headed to the International Space Station.

There is something very special about watching a rocket launch and its an experience you’ll never forget.

For those of us living in Central Florida, we are fortunate to have a front row seat to history, just 45 minutes away on the space coast. And on a clear day or night, you can even see a launch from Orlando. With the achievements made by privately owned space exploration companies like Blue Orgin and SpaceX, there has been renewed excitement among space buffs.

My top three picks for viewing a launch from the space coast are:

Jetty Park, Cape Canaveral. To me, it’s the most beautiful and picturesque location with access day or night

SR-528, Also known as the “Beachline.” Head east on the beachline from Orlando and as you get closer to the coast, you’ll see all the motor homes and cars parked off the road.

Kennedy Space Center Visitors complex. For a fee you have access to launch viewing areas including the NASA Causeway, LC-39, Observation Gantry and Apollo/Saturn V Center located within the secured areas of Kennedy Space Center.

One last tip… Arrive early, as these popular sites fill up quickly!

Everybody wants a front row seat to history.
