Of monks and trunks
Venture outside your usual clique with a 16-day Thailand trip that introduces participants to Buddhist monks as well as members of hill tribes in the Golden Triangle. They'll also have a meet-and-greet with elephants before boarding the animals for a stroll in the northern forests of Thailand. But it's a leisurely passage by pachyderm, says spokeswoman Priscilla O'Reilly. The trip is aimed at those 50 and older and takes an unhurried pace. Other highlights: a Thai cooking class, a river cruise aboard a wooden barge and dinner at a local home.
