On this trip, we hope we hit our mark.
With a boost from "The Hunger Games," archery is successfully targeting a much broader group of fans. Young and old are now taking aim all in the name of fun.
Within close range of us is Hall's Arrow Indoor Archery Range, which has been in Manchester since 1962.
"You get kids who see 'The Hunger Games' movies and they say, 'Hey, Mom and Dad, I want to try archery,' " said Hall's General Manager Richard Johnson.
Johnson noted that the range has never been busier, with kids classes frequently filling up. Hall's offers two ranges with instruction and rental equipment for anyone who wants to take a shot at the sport.
"One of the things I enjoy about it is how relaxing it can be," Johnson said. "It's just you and the bow."
Hall's Arrow Indoor Archery in Manchester is located on West Middle Turnpike. It is open Monday through Saturday. All are welcome. Kids 13 and under who are starting out are required to take a private lesson for safety reasons. For more information, click here to visit their website.
