With the wild success of both the UConn men's and women's basketball teams, there is reason to celebrate of late, so why not give fans another opportunity to raise a glass.
In Cambridge, Mass., the Boston Brew Tour beckons. This one is for the adults. You sip, they steer. It's an education in craft beer.
"It’s a 4 ½ hour to 5 hour day of beer drinking and learning about the brewing process. We visit usually three different breweries," said Chad Brodsky, chief beer guide and creator of the tour. "We go through the whole history of beer from the start of civilization to the current day beer scene."
Among the stops is Meadhall in Cambridge, which serves more than 100 beers on tap and whose menu includes beer influenced cuisine such as chicken wings brined in Genesee Ale. Brodsky, who serves as tour guide, historian and designated driver, said, "If you like beer, if you like Boston, you want to learn about the beer history of Boston and enjoy some incredible beer, come on a Boston beer tour."
The tour is for those 21 and older and costs $85 during the week and $90 on weekends. For schedules and more information, click here to go to the Boston Brew Tours website.
