Since 1958, Earthplace in Westport has been helping visitors appreciate the wonders of nature by showing them rehabilitated animals that are getting a new lease on life.
See falcons, owls and hawks, as well as two incredible bald eagles, a rare treat to see up close.
"There is an emotional response that people get when they see bald eagles that they really don't get with any other bird," says Naturalist Educator Amanda Chisholm.
On Saturday, March 23rd, Earthplace will be kicking off spring with a special "Kite Day" celebration, featuring programs on animals that fly and soar. The natural history museum, hiking trails and animal exhibits are open seven days a week.Copyright © 2015, CT Now
