Oswego crash victim identified

Weather and road conditions appear to have been factors in a crash that killed a 51-year-old woman in Oswego on Thursday, police said.

Oswego police identified the victim Friday morning as Cindy Borgra, 51, of the 23000 block of West Link Lane in Plainfield.

She was driving a minivan east on U.S. Highway 30 near Goodwin Drive about 2:30 p.m. when the van crossed into the westbound lane and was struck by a semi, Oswego police said in a news release.

Borga was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The truck’s driver, identified as Joe Clark, 68, of Oswego, was also taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center, police said. His condition had not been updated, but police earlier said he was expected to survive.

No other people were in either vehicle, and no other vehicles were involved, police said.
