AIRTRAN ADDS MILWAUKEE FLIGHTS: AirTran Airways is adding four more destinations from Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport, the airline has announced. In May, AirTran will begin daily non-stop flights between Milwaukee and Branson, Mo.; St. Louis; and Minneapolis-St. Paul, plus seasonal service to Denver. The extended service will raise AirTran's daily departures from Milwaukee from 21 less than a year ago to 30. General Mitchell Airport is about 90 minutes north of Chicago and accessible by Amtrak train from Union Station.
AUTHORS ABOARD: Travelers sailing a trans-Atlantic crossing aboard Cunard's flagship ocean liner Queen Mary 2 will have an opportunity to meet and mingle with the likes of E.L. Doctorow, Erica Jong, Amy Bloom, Kathryn Harrison, John Guare and Susan Cheever. As part of Cunard Insights, the cruise line's enrichment program, there will be question-and-answer sessions, lectures, book signings and readings. Sailings are scheduled from April through September, and prices for the six-day voyages start at $795 for an inside stateroom, based on double occupancy. A balcony Britannia cabin goes for $995 per person, and a Queens Grill Suite is $3,545 per person. Tax is not included.
