Stand-up comedian Jeff Dunham has carved a career out of ventriloquism with popular puppets like Walter, Peanut and Achmed the terrorist. Dunham has appeared on Comedy Central Presents and specials titled “Spark of Insanity” and “Controlled Chaos.” This time, Dunham will bring his “Disorderedly Conduct” tour to the Wells Fargo Center.

NY Chili Fest

Beer and chili enthusiasts, gather around. New York’s best restaurants and chefs are filling a 500-foot concourse in Chelsea Market with all things spicy and delicious as they vie for the Golden Chili Mug 2013 title. What’s more, Samuel Adams is offering four of its favorite chili-accompanying beers, with several pouring stations located within the concourse. The Dixons will be playing live music all evening.

Israeli Film Festival

This third annual festival, held at the Weinstein Jewish Community Center, will feature screenings of four films: “Violins in Wartime, “Sima Vaknin Witch,” “The Flat” and “Mabul (The Flood).” With two documentaries, a comedy and a drama, the festival presents a variety of motion picture genres.

11th Annual Hot Chocolate Hike/Snowshoe

Who said hiking was only a summer activity? Enter the winter woods of Andover for a brisk hike and follow it up with some hot chocolate and relaxation at a nearby visitors center. Don’t forget to bring your boots, snowshoes or any other hiking gear.

Sugarloaf Crafts Festival

Whether your preference is browsing or buying, there will be an abundance of crafts to check out at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival. Handcrafted pieces of pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, wood, metal, furniture, home accessories, photography and fine art will be featured. Live music, children’s performances and gourmet food will complement the works on display.

The festival will be held at the Dulles Expo Center. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 25 -26 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 27. Admission is $8 online and $10 at the door for adults. Children under 12 are free. Parking is free.
