'America's Got Talent' host Nick Cannon

NBC and "America's Got Talent" pulled in Tuesday's biggest audience by a wide margin, but FOX's "Hell's Kitchen" brought the demographic heat.

NBC brought in 9.8 million viewers and a 5.9 rating/10 share in households for the night, easily beating CBS (7.2 million, 4.6/8) for the top spot. FOX (5.7 million, 3.4/6) came in third. ABC took fourth with 4.7 million viewers and a 3.1/5. The CW (794,000, 0.6/1) was, as usual, well off the pace.

FOX led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.6 rating, edging NBC's 2.5. CBS finished third at 1.9, followed by ABC, 1.5, and The CW, 0.4.
