'Prison Break' Star Battles Croc
Dominic Purcell and Orlando Jones will take on a crocodile named Gustave in 'Primeval'
Dominic Purcell and Orlando Jones are in place to star in "Primeval," a thriller from director Michael Katleman, a television vet whose career includes episodes of "Gilmore Girls," "Everwood" and, most recently, "Reunion."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film focuses on a television producer (Purcell) and his trusty cameraman (Jones). They head down to South Africa (because they have an established film infrastructure down there) to track down a 25-foot croc named Gustave. Bringing the croc in alive is complicated, but when a local warlord decides to target them, everything becomes a big old mess.
Filming will begin in April in South Africa (because they have an established film infrastructure down there) on the script by John Brancato and Michael Ferris.
Best known for his small screen work, Purcell has become a FOX television favorite. In addition to starring roles in "Prison Break" and "John Doe," the actor has also done guest stints on "North Shore" and "House."
Jones, one of the stars of ABC's "The Evidence," has also been seen in films including "Biker Boyz," "Double Take" and "Drumline."
