President Bush welcomed the Detroit Red Wings to the White House Tuesday to celebrate the team's Stanley Cup championship.

Bush paid tribute to popular players like forward Darren McCarty, Chris Chelios and Kris Draper. The president joked that Draper even scored a goal with his teeth.

Team captain Nicklas Lidstrom gave the president two red Detroit jerseys - No. 43 for the current president and No. 41 for his father, former President George H.W. Bush.

Chelios also presented Bush with a miniature Stanley Cup.

Detroit won its 11th Stanley Cup last June, defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins in six games.
