State lawmaker wants Indiana's corporate income tax reduced
An Indiana state senator is pushing to get the state's corporate income tax reduced during the 2011 session. Senator Brandt Hershman (R-District #7) says the tax hinders job creation because it is among the highest in the Midwest.

Right now, that tax is 8.5%. Sen. Hershman would like to see it lowered to 5%. If that happens, he claims more businesses would want to be located in Indiana.
