Second drowning at southern Indiana lake in less than a week

Indiana Conservation officers and State Police are investigating another drowning at Deam Lake in Clark County.  That's near Louisville.

FOX 41 News in Louisville says this is the 2nd drowning in the lake since Wednesday, when 13-year old Da'Quan Yewell died there.

The Louisville Courier Journal reports the drowning victim on Monday afternoon is Miguel Ramirez, 28, of the Okolona, KY area.

Officials told the newspaper that Ramirez was in a rental rowboat with two male relatives just before 2 p.m., when he jumped out to swim.  He was holding onto a life jacket but lost his grip and fell into 19 feet of water about 60-70 yards off shore.

State Police divers recovered his body around 2:40 p.m.
