Simon’s Fashion Mall unveiled its newly renovated food court option called the Fashion Café Thursday.
Rather than the stereotypical, greasy mall food, Simon said the Fashion Café focuses on lighter, healthier options.
Three food options opened Thursday: Pinkberry, a frozen yogurt place; Freshii, which serves soups, salads, healthy wraps and more; and Elevation Burger, which dubs itself a more health-conscious twist on the burger-and-fries option.
Several other food vendors will open there in the near future and shoppers are excited about the change of concept.
"That's probably a good option for people. You're walking around, get tired and need something to eat--so I think it's a good idea,” said Dave Guevara.
“We're always looking for different, easy restaurants that we can pop in and out of and not create too much of a scene," said Kelly Whalen, who had her toddler daughter in hand.
In addition, several stores have opened since the mall renovations started earlier this year. Vera Bradley, Sperry Top-Sider and West Elm are just a few of the new faces in the mall.
