A man accused of murdering a woman right in front of her mother may never face prosecution.

The Madison County Sheriff's Department said Roy Parmley shot and killed Amanda Wiles in her home in Anderson Saturday morning.

Authorities believe Parmley is suicidal but many in the community think he may have already committed suicide.

According to the victim's mother, Parmley told her he was going to take something away from her that she loved more than him.

Amanda's boyfriend said the entire experience is like living through a nightmare.

"I don't know if there is a way to deal with it. I don't know. I don't know. I just go back to living life like she wanted me to,” said Ryan Edwards.

If he's found alive, Parmley faces murder, burglary and criminal confinement charges.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
