Saturday, Diem to leave the Indianapolis Colts

ESPN reported Friday free-agent center Jeff Saturday, 36, will play for the Green Bay Packers.

Two Indianapolis Colts players will reportedly be leaving the team.

ESPN reported Friday free-agent center Jeff Saturday, 36, will play for the Green Bay Packers.

Saturday joined the Indianapolis Colts in the 1999 season.  ESPN reported the center started 188 regular season games in 13 NFL seasons.

Colts owner Jim Irsay tweeted after news broke about Saturday, saying “We wish Jeff Sat the best, I wanted him to work for team full time but he wanted to go at it one more year..he's as good of a man as it gets.” 

Irsay announced another player would also be leaving the team.  Offensive lineman Ryan Diem, an 11-year veteran with the Colts, decided to retire.  Irsay announced the news, stating “ColtFans, met with Ryan D,big#71 in ur hearts n program,yesterday; he is going 2 retire, raise those new twins, we wish him happy alumnus status.”
