IUPUI student reports robbery near campus

The student told police he was struck and knocked to the ground after parking in the IUPUI parking lot at 1200 Indiana Avenue.

IU Police at Indianapolis report a student was robbed at an on campus parking lot Monday night.

According to an IUPUI campus alert, the student reported the crime happened around 11:10 p.m.

The student told police he was struck and knocked to the ground after parking in the IUPUI parking lot at 1200 Indiana Avenue.

The victim described the suspect as a dark complected male. No other physical description was available at the time of the release.

The student said his wallet was taken. No weapons were seen and the student was not injured.

For safety, IU Police at Indianapolis suggest students try not to travel alone and use the Safewalk service if possible.
