Some gaming retailers are making a case for their hottest products on the market this holiday season, despite the recession. 

This year's list of hot games includes selections the entire family can enjoy.

"Animal Crossing," "Sonic Unleashed," "Rayman Raving Rabbids" are a few of the games for the little ones, while Wii Fit, Wii Music, and "Boogie Superstar" are out to get bigger hearts racing. 

For the would-be chefs, there's "Cake Mania," "Cooking Mania," "Personal Trainer Cooking," and "Iron Chef" have the right ingredients to help you learn your way around the kitchen.

The biggest hits are expected to be "Guitar Hero" and "Rock Band."

Video game sales are expected to be a bright spot for retailers this year.  Sales are expected to come in about 20% higher this year than last, topping more than $16,000,000,000 in sales.
