Five families are making arrangements Wednesday to bury their loved ones who lost their lives, after a stage collapsed during a concert at the Indiana State Fair.
Visitation for Nathan Byrd was held Wednesday afternoon. Byrd’s funeral is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
A calling is scheduled for Glenn Goodrich on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. There will also be an additional viewing hour at 10 a.m. Saturday, before the funeral. The funeral is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at the Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center.
Visitation will be held Thursday for Alina Bigjohny in her hometown, Fort Wayne. Her funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. Bigjohny was recently hired to become a teacher in the Muncie school district.
The remains of 42-year old Tammy Vandam will be cremated, according to her family. She was a homemaker who had formerly owned a disc jockey business in northern Indiana. Vandam is survived by her teenage daughter.
The family of patient Alisha Marie Brennon, Christina Santiago's partner, release the statement below on their behalf and on behalf of Christina Santiago's family:
"Alisha Marie Brennon and the family of Christina Santiago are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support following this unfortunate tragedy. It is our hope that people will continue to keep us in their thoughts and prayers. We, as a family, have continually and will continue to work together, without conflict to get through this trying time. There is not now, nor has there ever been, any disagreement as to the manner in which Christina will be honored for the amazing woman that she was. We ask that people respect our time of bereavement and continue to remember and honor her in a solely positive light."
