Five people accused of robbing a pair of Muncie banks hid out in Ohio before police caught them.
The arrests included three men and two women. All the suspects were from Muncie except for one of the men. Investigators say the suspects hit the First County Credit Union on West 11th Street on June 12. On June 30, police say the suspects held up the First Merchants Bank on South Madison Street.
Police received information that the suspects were hiding out near Kings Island amusement park in southwestern Ohio. They made the arrests near the Muncie city limits while the men and women were returning.
Dewayne Ingram, Jr., 26, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and a count of arson. Stephen Coursey, Jr., 39, Columbus, Ohio, was charged with armed robbery, arson, and battery. Marcus Cooks, 24, faces a count of armed robbery. Conyale Ingram, 27, is charged with armed robbery and false informing. Tonya Gordon, 29, is charged with armed robbery.
Police recovered several thousand dollars from the suspects. The FBI assisted in the investigation.
