One of the primary go-to restaurants for hungry and thirsty Hartford-area residents since they opened in 2002, Wood-n-Tap offers exceptional American fare for pretty much anyone, from pizzas and burgers down to salads, seafood and vegetarian items. (They’ve even put together one of the most extensive gluten-free menus we’ve seen.) Over the years, the four partners behind W-n-T have worked hard trying to increase the restaurant’s visibility in the state (and they’ve succeeded), but all that would be wasted if the food wasn’t great. Our favorites? Ahi tuna tacos, Santa Fe chicken, baby back ribs, chicken Marsala or their honkin’ N.Y. strip.
