The man police were searching for after his brothers deathhas been taken into custody in Warren.

State Police say Stephen Throckmorton was found in a home in Warren. He lives in that town but it is not clear if he was at his own home.

He was taken to State Police Barracks in Litchfield and eventually will be taken to the barracks in Southbury.

Schools in the Region 6 district towns of Warren, Morris and Goshen were closed Tuesday because of the continued search.

State police don't label Throckmorton a suspect, but consider him a witness.

Twenty-one-year-old Ronald Throckmorton was shot and killed at a home on White Birch Drive in Southbury Monday afternoon.

State police aren't labeling the incident as a homicide, but are calling it "a shooting death.

The search for the brother began after witnesses told state police about a vehicle fleeing the scene of the shooting.
