The principal of the Walther G. Cady School at the Connecticut Juvenile Training School in Middletown has been arrested after allegedly damaging a neighbor's property.
Gary Kleeblat, a DCF spokesman, said today that Mattera notified the DCF commissioner of his arrest, as required by agency policy.
"We're reviewing the matter," Kleeblat said. The allegations against him do not involve children so Mattera remains in his position, Kleeblat said.
State police at the Canaan barracks said Mattera, of 373 Main St., New Hartford, was charged after allegedly damaging a tenant's property in an adjacent apartment. According to New Hartford assessor records, 373 Main St. is a single family home.
