The Penn High School hockey team took a break from the ice to help those who have to spend this holiday in the hospital.
The team prepared and delivered meals to the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Memorial Children's Hospital.
Family Room volunteers will serve the food to families today.
Coach Ryan Geist hopes his players will continue this kind of community involvement later in life.
“As a coach, I hope that I prepare them on the ice as much as possible, said coach Ryan Geist. “I also want to make sure that they are prepared for life after hockey.”
The Ronald McDonald Family Room provides a home-away-from-home for families with sick or injured children.
