ST. JOSEPH COUNTY – Police say two teens were badly injured Saturday morning in a crash in the 12000 block of Day Road.
This happened just after 5 a.m. According to Lt. Matt Blank with St. Joseph County police, the car and its two occupants were westbound on Day when they went off the road near the intersection with Bittersweet. Blank says they hit some landscaping and rolled a few times, coming to rest in the roadway.
Blank says the 18-year-old passenger, David Hayden of Osceola, was thrown from the vehicle. He received head injuries and possible blunt force trauma to the torso, but both he and the 19-year-old driver, Tyler Layton of Granger, were treated and released from Memorial Hospital.
