For my fiance's birthday last week, I got him a Wii. We always have fun playing it at my sister and brother-in-law's house, so I thought we needed our own. Plus, Sohail (I'll interupt myself here: his name is pronounced just like it looks...so as in "so" and hail as in the weather element...funny stories on that subject will have to wait for a future blog) had made plenty of hints that it was definitely on his birthday wish list.
So, he opened it Thursday. We played all night. Seriously, I woke up at 5AM and he was playing it. I thought he was crazy until I realized what he was playing: old-school Nintendo Mario Bros. The very first edition! Apparently you can download all the old games onto your new Wii. So there we sat at 5AM...playing Wii....and having a blast. I beat him, by the way.
Wii Fit, Wii Sport (I like the tennis best), and a bunch of trivia games. Tonight I was watching Sara's story and it included some shots of a bowling alley. All I could think about was playing Wii bowling....
Thankfully, he had to go to Providence for business, so the Wii is
getting a well-deserved rest for a couple of days. But I can't wait
until he gets back -- I'm ready to re-claim my Mario Bros title...and hopefully FINALLY beat him at Dr. Mario.
Actually, maybe I'll head up to his house tonight and sneak in some practice before he gets home later this week :)
