For my fiance's birthday last week, I got him a Wii. We always have fun playing it at my sister and brother-in-law's house, so I figured we should get one of our own. Plus, Sohail (I'll interrupt myself here: his name is pronounced like it looks: so as in "so" and hail as is the weather element. Funny stories on this topic will have to wait for a future blog!) had made plenty of hints it was on his birthday wish list.
He opened it Thursday night. We couldn't put our controllers down once we had it set up! Seriously, I woke up at 5AM and he was playing. I thought he was crazy, until I saw what he was playing. Old-school Nintendo Mario Bros! The first edition! Apparently, you can download old games onto your new Wii. So there we were at 5 in the morning, playing Wii. So much for sleep!
Wii Fit, Wii Sport (I like tennis best!), and a bunch of trivia games. We're hooked.
Thankfully, our fingers (and the most likely worn-out Wii) got a well-deserved break. Sohail left for Providence Monday for business. He's not back until Thursday....but I can't wait! Tonight I was watching Sara's story and it had some shots of a bowling alley. All I could think was "I want to play Wii bowling..."
Hopefully, by my next blog I will have rejoined the real world. But for now, I'm having fun in Wii world!
And on that note... I've decided. I'm heading to his house tonight to sneak in some
practice while he is gone. I need it - I'm determined to beat him in
