Sandusky Makes Surprise Court Appearance Just a Week Before His Trial is Due to Start.

Attorneys for Jerry Sandusky and the prosecution held a closed door meeting with the presiding judge today at tne Center County courthouse in Bellfonte.
Its the first time an unplanned meeting like this has happened.  Sandusky along with his defense team met with Judge John Cleland for about two and a half hours. Lawyers from the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office were there as well.

On the way out of the courthouse the attorneys declined to say anything.
Of course theres a gag order in place for anyone tied to the case. At this point its unclear just what the meeting was about.

Sandusky faces 52 charges related to allegations he sexually abused 10 boys over 15 years.
Attorneys filed a few motions in the case relating to the alleged victims.
Tney are trying to prevent the names of four of the victims from being made public during the trial. Victims rights groups worry that could have a chilling effect on victims in other cases from coming forawrd.

Its one of several things the judge is expected to take up at a hearing at a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday. It will be the last hearing before the trial.

Sandusky is not expected to back in court for Wednesday's hearing.
