2 Women Injured In Hummus Factory Accident
An accident at a yogurt factory in East Farmingdale Tuesday afternoon left two workers injured, police said.

At 5:49pm, Leyla Sabillion, 29, of Wyandanch and Argelia Ayala, 31, of Lindenhurst suffered injuries while working at the Sabra Dipping Company after a high pressure hose attached to one of the company's machines became loose and struck the two women.

Sabillon suffered an arm injury and had to be airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center for treatment. Ayala was taken to Nassau University Medical Center to receive treatment after being struck in the abdomen. Police say the women's injuries are non-life threatening.

There were no other injuries and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are expected to investigate the accident, police said.

The factory for Sabra Dipping Company is located at 535 Smith St.. Sabra is a Queens-based company that is know for its hummus and salad dressing products.
