QUEENS, N.Y. (WPIX) - A suspect has been arrested for causing a hit-and-run accident that left two pedestrians dead.

The victims were identified as a teenager and a 20-year-old. The accident happened early Sunday at Elliott Avenue and 80th Street in Middle Village, Queens.

Robert Ogle, 16, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second pedestrian, Alex Paul, 20, was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital and where he later died.

The NY Daily News says the suspect was drunk and was driving a stolen car. Charges are pending.

The accident marks the second time in three days that a hit-and-run driver ran into a pair of pedestrians in the city and left the scene.

On Friday, an 18-year-old man hit two brothers boys in Bedford-Stuyvesant. A 16-year-old boy and his 4-year-old brother were seriously injured. The suspect has been identified as Samuel Branch.
