A mid-morning two alarm fire on Greenwich Avenue in lower Manhattan has left two firefighters with minor injuries, Fire officials said.

The blaze, which had to be battled in the middle of a heavy snowfall, began at a party store at 18 Greenwich Ave and West 10th St. The fire was declared under control at 8:07a.m. Wednesday.

The injured firefighters were taken to Saint Vincent's Hospital, according to the Fire Department. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
