The trio --stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and electronics from the homes and resold the ill-gotten gains to pawnshops, police said Monday. Cash also was taken from the homes, Suffolk police said.
The burglaries occurred during the daytime when no one was home, police said.
One burglary was on Feb. 5; the other occurred between Feb. 6 and Feb. 9, said Lt. Robert Edwards, commanding officer of the Fourth Squad detectives.
Police recovered "a good portion" of the stolen items, Edwards said.
Albert Fernandez, 21, and Victoria Doyle, 18, both of 7 Melissa Ct., Lake Grove, and Melissa Haines, 17, of 2 Seawanhaka Ave., Nesconset, were arrested Friday, police said. They were each charged with second-degree burglary.
Haines and Doyle also were charged with possession of stolen property.
All three were arraigned Saturday in Suffolk Criminal Court in Central Islip.
Fernandez was held on $15,000 bail. Doyle and Haines were ordered held on $2,500 bail.
Doyle's attorney, Paul Barahal of Smithtown, could not be immediately reached for comment on Monday. The attorneys for Fernandez and Haines could not be reached.
The three defendants are due back in court Thursday.
