Cops Searching For Man Who Torched 15 Cars In Manhattan
There is an arsonist on the loose Uptown and cops say he torched at least 15 cars Tuesday morning. The N.Y.P.D. released surveillance video of the suspect walking along a dark sidewalk in the Hamilton Heights section. Now, they want help from the public in identifying the creep and getting him off the streets.

The burned out cars could be seen across the area, the first one set ablaze at about 1:45 a.m. and others torched overnight across the 30th and 32nd precincts. One resident told PIX11 News Stephanie Tsoflias, "I'm shocked this happened around here. It's very quiet in this neighborhood."

On Edgecombe Avenue the fire bug hit two S.U.V.s. A white Land Rover looked to be a total loss with the hood burned off, all of the windows broken and seats burned.

One woman told PIX11, "I do park my car without thinking about it. I've lived here for 12 years and nothing has ever happened."

Cops describe the suspect as Black, with a thin or medium build and bald. He was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers. According to police he was also wearing a light blue drawstring backpack.

Anyone who recognizes the guy or has information on the case is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800- 577-TIPS..
