Detectives and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public's help to apprehend a man caught on video using a stolen credit card, Suffolk County Police said Friday.

On January 16, a 23-year-old Coram woman lost her wallet in a Smithtown parking lot. The wallet was returned to her, but she realized later in the day that several credit cards were missing.

A male suspect was caught on surveillance video making over $100 worth of purchases at 7-11 on Peconic Street in Ronkonkoma on the same day the victim's wallet was stolen. He attempted to make other purchases on more of the victim's cards but they were denied, PIX 11 News learned.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20- to 30-years-old, average height and build, wearing jeans, a a dark sweatshirt and a two-tone baseball cap.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
