Man Indicted In Stabbing Death Of NYPD employee
NEW YORK (AP) - A grand jury has indicted a New York City man in the stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend.

Michelle Lee, a civilian forensic investigator for the New York Police Department, was discovered in her bedroom by her roommate on April 27. The 24-year-old's body was tied to the bed.

Queens prosecutors said Friday that 23-year-old Gary McGurk is being held on charges of second-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a weapon. He was awaiting arraignment. His attorney says he's innocent and will plead not guilty.

The John Jay College student faces a maximum 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
