Elderly Couple's Damaged Car (January 7, 2010)

Suffolk County Police are searching for a snowplow driver who broadsided an occupied vehicle and fled the scene.

On December 20, 2009, an elderly couple was driving through a Sayville intersection when the they were hit by the snowplow.

Police say at 1:30 a.m. a white pick-up truck with a red plow traveling west bound on Montauk Highway struck the couple's 2003 white Grand Vitara traveling north on Railroad Avenue pushing their car into a snow bank.

The female passenger of the car sustained a broken nose and the male driver of the car had a broken finger. Police say the truck driver actually walked over to the couple's vehicle to check on them, then fled north bound on Railroad Avenue.
