Two Shot, One Fatally At Manhattan Housing Project
One man was shot and another critically injured in the lobby of a Manhattan housing project.

Police responded to a call at 55 Rutgers Street of the Rutgers Houses on the Lower East Side just before 5 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators say Curtis James, 29, was shot in the face and declared dead on the scene.

A second victim, age 19, was transported to Bellevue Hospital with a gun shot wound to the torso. He's listed in critical condition.

The shooting reportedly erupted after an argument, the victim's mother told the Daily News. James also said her son's girlfriend is seven months pregnant.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
