2 NYPD Cops Busted For Robbing Long Island Homes
They are sworn to protect and serve. But NYPD Detective Rafeal Astacio and his crew are accused moonlighting as criminals – robbers to be precise.

Law enforcement officials tell PIX11 they were arrested on earlier this month after breaking into a home on Oxford Street, in Lindenhurst, Suffolk County, Long Island.

A man who lives on the block, who did not want to go on camera, told PIX11, "This was a very well-orchestrated thing – when they took these guys down. Police got the two guys right here. They had stopped their vehicle right here in my driveway. [Mario – and they tackled him right here?] "No, right here in the grass – one of them. And the other one was fighting here in the driveway, and they tackled him too."

Investigators say Astacio and his crew broke into Anastasios Matheos' home.

Fortunately, the accused cops missed his daughter coming home by a matter of minutes.

"It's sad. Very sad. Detectives doing these things – it's very sad. What else can I say?" Matheos told PIX11.
