Cops: 2 Men Wanted For Robbing 12 Women In South Bronx
Cops are hunting for two cowards who prey on defenseless women. They are wanted for a string of 12 robberies in the South Bronx dating back to July.

The most recent occurred at about 1:30 p.m. on November 19th at Southern Blvd and Avenue St. John in the Longwood section of the Bronx. In that incident a 20-year-old woman was robbed.

Police are asking for the public's help in getting the two thugs off the street. Surveillance tape shows the men and a white car cops say has been used in the crimes.

Investigators say the thieves approach women and either grab them or push them to the ground before stealing their jewelry, cell phones and other loot. So far, they've hit women ranging in age from their teens to their 60s. They even robbed a 67-year-old woman who would be old enough to be their grandmother.

Concerned resident Christine Grace told PIX11 News, "I don't like it. As you can see I'm out here early in the morning and now I don't feel safe." She went on to say, "They are cowards, only picking on women."

Police also released photographs of one of the men. The two are described only as Hispanic men between 18 and 25. Cops say they often use a white sedan while a third thug waits in the getaway car.

Cops ask you to call the Crimes Stopper tip line at (800) 577-TIPS if you recognize them or know anything about the attacks. Tipsters can also submit information at or by texting CRIMES (274637) then entering TIP577.
