Investigators have wrapped up their dig at the SoHo site, where they had hoped to find the remains of Etan Patz, the 6-year-old who vanished without a trace in May of 1979, just steps from his home.

As the search concludes, officials revealed that no remains were found. A concrete slab that contained what many believed was a blood stain has reportedly been deemed negative.

Among the items that were gathered from the site include strands of hair, a piece of paper and other pieces of forensic evidence.

FBI agents and NYPD officers began their dig in the SoHo basement at 127B Prince Street Thursday.

The Patz family was reportedly briefed on the situation. No immediate statement was released by the family.
