A Long Island woman was arrested and charged early Saturday after police caught her on the radar flying 140 mph down the Sagtikos Parkway.
According to police, Linda Camps, 54, of Smithtown, was driving her Cadillac 85 mph over the 55-mph speed limit when they pulled her over at 12:30 a.m.
Officers reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol and gave Camps a field sobriety test, which she failed.
Camps was arrested and taken into custody. Officials say she registered a .16 percent blood alcohol content - double the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Camps was charged with driving while intoxicated, in addition to a number of traffic violations.
