A doctor for Ear, Nose and Throat Associates in Queens and Long Island was arrested Monday in an apparent drug bust, Nassau Police said.

In a bizarre twist, he allegedly bought the drugs from a nursing assistant who works at a Long Island hospital, officials revealed.

Eliot Danziger, 53, of Brookville is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after police say he purchased cocaine from Kelly Coleman, 45, of North Babylon Monday afternoon in a parking lot of a local gas station.

Bureau of Special Operations Police Officers were on patrol when they observed a female driving a 2003 Hyundai pull up next to a male in a 2010 BMW and hand him a small object in exchange for cash, detectives said.

As officers investigated they found one clear plastic bag of cocaine in Danziger's pants pocket and cash in Coleman's jacket pocket, officials said.

Coleman was charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance.
