A school bus that shuttles the disabled overturned in a crash in Bethpage just after noon Wednesday, injuring two, police and the bus company said.

The injuries were not life-threatening.

The yellow school bus has been towed away from the 12:25 p.m. crash site, in an industrial area at South Oyster Bay Road and Hazel Street, police said.

"It's a flipped school bus," said Jim Poisella Jr. of Ronkonkoma-based bus owner Acme Bus Co., adding that the company's safety department was doing its own investigation in addition to one being conducted by Nassau County police.

"It's an unfortunate situation," he said. He said he didn't know anything else about the crash, such as who was aboard and where the bus was going.

The crash backed up traffic on Route 107-South Broadway near Hazel Street.
