Police Identify Body Left In Street For Hours
Police on Long Island have identified the victim of a deadly stabbing in Huntington Station as a Roosevelt man.

Luis Castro, 27, was found lying in the road on West Roges Path by a passing motorist, police said. His body had apparently been there uncovered for more than seven hours.

Witnesses told police a crime scene truck did not arrive on the scene until 10 a.m. and the body remained uncovered until close to noon.

Investigators said they believe Castro was the victim of a stabbing around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. Detectives said Monday Castro was a "victim of foul play."

His body was found in a road in the Froehlich Farm preserve which is about two miles from the Cold Spring Harbor Long Island Rail Road station.

Suffolk Legislator Ricardo Montano said he is lauching a probe into the Huntington Station stabbing.
