A 20-year-old woman is dead and two other people, including her brother, from Baldwin, Long Island were hurt when a car struck them Wednesday night on Sunrise Highway, Nassau Police said.

According to detectives cab driver Allen Sinetar, 55, of Wading River, was traveling eastbound in his 2000 Chevy when, just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, he struck three pedestrians crossing the intersection of Central Avenue.

Kate McNeil was transported to South Nassau Hospital where she was pronounced dead by staff, said police.

Bryan McNeil, 25, was taken to Nassau University Medical Center where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

Samantha Koch, 20, suffered head, neck and back injuries and was listed in stable condition.
