Wilson Red Line station to get makeover
A $203 million reconstruction of the Wilson station on the CTA Red Line is scheduled to begin next year.

The new station will serve as an anchor for economic development in the Uptown neighborhood.

The new station will feature glass and steel canopies, elevators and other modern amenities, and new transfer platforms.

There will be two entrance -- one on Wilson, and the other on Sunnyside.

The reconstruction project is part of a $1 billion program to maintain, modernize, and expand the Red Line -- the busiest line in the CTA rail system.
