It's that time of year again when everybody wants to looks their best in the summer sun! Beauty Expert Candace Corey is here with us to share some beauty tips to keep looking great from head to toe!
Here are her tips:
Vitamin E and Pro-Vitamin B5 such as Skintimate. They have pretty, new limited edition cans designed by fashion designer Mara Hoffman in bright bold colors and designs. Perfect for the fashion diva.
The hot trend for hair this season is braids. Wearing hair in a messy french braid that starts with a side part that spirals around the front of the head and secures at the nape of the neck in a braided bun, is a great way to look stylish while growing out your bangs. Another easy option is the milk maiden hairstyle. Start by parting hair down the middle of the head and braid hair on both sides. Secure the ends of the braid with a ponytail elastic then criss cross and bobby pin the ends on top of the head.
Since we are outside more often in the summer season, be sure not to neglect your scalp as well. Use hair system like Nioxin Hair system to free scalp of sebum and environmental debris which can clog follicles and inhibit hair from growing properly. It also has a hair treatment and therapy to not only condition hair for less breakage, but to also stimulate the scalp. The healthier the scalp the better the hair.
Even though you like to do less in the summer, never neglect proper skin care. Start with Olay Total Effects Cooling Hydration to hydrate skin. It is a lightweight anti-aging facial moisturizer that instantly releases cooling water hydrators in a formula with vitamins and mint extract so skin feels refreshed. It also fights free radicals and refines pores.
The trend for summer makeup is bright colors! Start with a base that is lightweight, like COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation that has a touch of cucumber water, jojoba and rose hip extracts to give you a polished finish that wont make skin look cakey.
Next give eyes a pop of color by using Makeup Forever Aqua Colors. It is waterproof, so once you apply them it will stay in place. A trendy color is bright teal! A great way to wear it is as a liner. Start with a black line, then piggy back it with the bright teal slightly above it to create a funky yet wearable look.
For cheeks go with peach and for lips coral.
For the best results during touch ups, blot your face first before applying powder because you sweat and oil from your skin can make it turn your powder darker than normal. Most of the time you don't even need powder after you blot.
