Pierogies with Bourbon Date Sauce
Serves 4

Ingredients: Serves 4

1 16 oz. package of frozen pierogies
5 dried dates
1/2 shallot, chopped
1.5 ouces bourbon
1 ounce heavy cream
brown sugar to taste

Sauté pierogies as package directs. Sauté chopped shallots in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, bourbon and dates. Stir in heavy cream, gradually, until mixture has thickened, stirring constantly. Pour sauce evenly over sautéed pierogies.
